An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 enthusiastic service delivery managers to join the Women's & Children Division based at Newham University Hospital within Barts Health NHS Trust.
The two openings within the Division are as follows:
Children Services and
Gynaecology Services
The postholders will be responsible for the overall operational performance of Women's & Children Division, ensuring that the day-to-day delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints. The successful candidate will manage the key performance targets in the respective specialties and demonstrate continuous improvement in patient experience with particular reference to a balanced demand and capacity plan.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will also play a key part in delivering meaningful and positive change to enable clinical teams to better plan their service and improve care pathways. S/He will look after and nurture the staff that they manage to help them to develop their knowledge and skills and perform to a high level.

- Degree educated or equivalent academic or healthcare professional qualification or equivalent knowledge.
- Currently working at SDM level
- Evidence of continuing professional development

- A demonstrable capacity and capability for operational/clinical service management at middle level in an acute hospital environment or similarly complex organisation.
- Managing complex issues with staff using HR policies and procedures
- Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the RTT and other constitutional standards
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the elective pathway, and challenges of theatre utilization
