An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Highly Specialised Alcohol and Substance Misuse Nurse to join the Alcohol Care Team at Salford Care Organisation to provide leadership to the Alcohol Care Team and ensure that patients receive a high standard of care.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will:

1. Establish and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups about difficult or complex matters overcoming any problems in communication.

10. Allocate, coordinate, monitor and assess the work of teams and individuals

Job responsibilities

The successful post holder will be expected to provide clinical expertise and knowledge demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, treatment and the management of the client group.

The post holder will monitor and improve standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of skilled professional leadership.

The post holder will actively contribute to the clinical governance processes within the service and support the work of the NCA wide Alcohol Steering Group to improve care and reduce alcohol related harm.

We recognise that many people find interviews daunting and the conventional interview approach, of unseen questions, often impacts performance on the day. We are therefore piloting sending interview questions, to candidates, in advance.
