**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust.**
The post-holder will take a lead role in financial planning and reporting of the Trusts financial income position as well as having a key role in contracting and commissioning.
The post-holder will provide financial expertise, advice and input for service line managers advising of implications around National tariff and best practice tariffs.
Maintain, monitor, and report income as required both internally and externally and present information to non-finance colleagues in an accessible form.
Provide cover for Planning and Income accountant to ensure continuous service for both external and internal stakeholders.
Skills required for the role include developed communication and organisational abilities, experience of working in a fast-paced environment responding to multiple priorities and deadlines and well-developed numeracy and analytical skills. The post-holder must be confident in working autonomously.
Hours per week: 37.5
Main duties of the job
Produce accurate and timely financial information to support delivery of the Trust's financial duties. Responsible for reporting the production of monthly financial information that supports both internal and external monitoring. Supervising the workload of the other members of the income team to ensure trust deadlines are met.

- AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) member or equivalent experience or Honours Degree level

- Studying towards CCAB (Professional Accountancy Qualification)

- Understanding of the contracting regime, and commissioner contract payment process
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications, NHS information systems, data collection, research and analysis.
- Understanding of the general ledger and its feeder systems and coding structures
- Excel to intermediate level
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and legislation relating to budgetary control and financial management
