Surgical Day Case unit Provides pre and post operative care across a range of specialities including Gynaecology, Ear Nose and Throat, UGI and Dental.
Care is delivered at the highest standard and patient experience is paramount within our team.
Our hours of service are Monday- Friday 07.00- 20.00
The post holder will work with the ward sister/charge nurse and multidisciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care and staff development, as part of the ward team.
To be flexible in approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.

- Following a criteria lead discharge
- ILS trained
- Administering medications
- Escalating deteriorating patients
- Providing health education, post operative advice.
- Liaising with other teams and departments.

- RGN.1st Level or relevant children's qualification
- Current NMC Registration

- Training Qualification or equivalent experience
- Relevant post registration course

- Good basic level of English language demonstrated through effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to solve problems and use initiative
- Ability to develop own clinical skills and a willingness to participate in continuing professional development
- Competency in medication administration including IV drug administration or willingness to undergo training
