An exciting opportunity to join a team of experienced practitioners working in a co-located Urgent Care (UC).
We are seeking experienced autonomous health care practitioners in primary care, urgent care, minor injury/illness, paramedicine, physiotherapy, or emergency medicine to work in a progressive and exciting environment, managing a diverse patient group (adults and children) presenting with urgent illness and injury to the ED and UC.
Support and supervision will be given to help the successful candidate to develop a holistic knowledge and skill set for practitioners working within the urgent care environment. There will be opportunities to support and shape the service going forward as well as potential rotational opportunities across the ED.

Main duties of the job
You will be undertaking autonomous assessment of a diverse range of patient presentations in all ages presenting to the Emergency Department and Urgent Care to determine clinical diagnosis, provide treatment and plan appropriate onward care. The predominant patient cohort will consist of minor injury and illness presentations.
You will be a part of the wider urgent care team of ECP's (nursing/physio/paramedic) supporting nursing and health care assistants and working alongside medical and general practitioner colleagues.

- To work according to the NMC/HCPC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines and carry continuing responsibility for patients whilst in the Enhanced Clinical Practitioner (ECP) role.
- To autonomously assess the investigation, care and health education needs for patients of all ages who attend with minor injury and minor
- To make a working diagnosis, implement and evaluate care management for patients of all ages who attend with minor injury and minor
- To provide clinical leadership through clinical expertise to the department
- To provide clinical leadership on nursing issues relating to Trust and local
- To promote and facilitate the implementation of the RUH Nursing strategy
- Reviewing nursing practice and implementing appropriate changes based on research/best practice
- Developing and implementing Audit, Quality and Risk Management initiatives.
