The post holder will be mainly based on the two respiratory wards at QEHB, each of which contains a Respiratory Support Unit (RSU) for patients requiring enhanced respiratory support including NIV, CPAP and HFNO.

As a result of new funding, the role mainly focuses on supporting acutely unwell patients in RSU, who may require oral supplements or enteral feeding to meet their nutritional needs. Dependant on the successful candidates experience, they will be appointed as a band 7 or a band 6 with a competency / training package with the aim of becoming a band 7 once complete. You will work closely with therapy colleagues to develop the respiratory service and will be integrated within the ward MDT, attending board rounds every week. This is a fast paced environment so good leadership and organisational skills are essential to this role.

The post is permanent and full time (37.5 hours) although applications are welcomed for any part time or job share opportunities.
