This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role in the West Essex Hospital at Home and Urgent Community Response Service.
The post holder will work with the senior management team to provide comprehensive, operational, staffing and budget management. They will be responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the Hospital at Home (HatH) and Urgent Community Response Service. This will include the delivery of operational performance targets (finance, activity, workforce and quality/safety) along with the achievement of service objectives and compliance with local and national standards relevant to the service area.
As a member of the leadership team, the post holder will share responsibility for the implementation of all Trust policies and the service improvement agenda within their area. As Matron, they will also provide clinical and professional guidance within areas of responsibility regarding operational issues. This will include being the Lead for Utilisation, Admission process, Discharge Planning and Length of Stay management. The post holder will also be expected to load on the investigation of complaints as directed by the senior management team.

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for all aspects of operational management of the HatH service
- To ensure all patients receive safe and compassionate care and experience a great service
- To lead a team of multi-disciplinary clinical staff, ensuring resources are used to maximise the benefit to all patients
- Take a lead in developing specialist skills within the team to help reduce the demand on acute sector care
- Ensure clinical care is appropriately monitored and audited and learning is shared across the organisation
- Lead daily MDTs and contribute to case conferences ensuring there is a holistic assessment of patients as required
- To set outcome based targets for the service and manage performance against these
- To respond to informal and formal complaints received in line with Trust policy make changes to services, systems, policies, practice and communication as appropriate in line with policies
- To be responsible for communicating highly complex information to staff in relation to service developments. This may include the communication of developments that will not be received positively, for example changes to service provision
- To network with and establish effective partnership working with key personnel
