We are looking for an innovative and self motivated dietitian interested in developing their skills to provide comprehensive dietetic care within a nationally commissioned multidisciplinary metabolic team delivering high quality care to patients with Adult Inherited Metabolic Diseases (AIMDs). Main duties of the job
Main duties include:
Assessing patients with complex, multi-system conditions. Interpreting diet and biochemical data, and providing food and supplement-based diet advice. NB dietary treatment is the cornerstone of treatment for many of these patients.
Building a positive long-term relationship with the AIMD patient cohort.
Developing patient engagement with their dietetic management including consideration of a broad range of factors including psychological, social, learning and physical disabilities, pregnancy, palliative care, and acute decompensation management.
Contributing to the running and further development of the Adult Inherited Metabolic Service at Salford, supporting clinical research and working with national and international AIMD networks.
