To provide a high-quality analytical, advisory and interpretive service to Clinicians for the processing of pathological specimens in the specialty of Clinical Chemistry.

To ensure departmental quality standards are maintained through adherence to standard operating procedures, implementation of quality control programmes and instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.

Participate in the Departmental Out-of-Hours shift and on-call services as an autonomous practitioner.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team of dedicated professionals in the Exeter Blood Sciences Department, which is an integral part of one of the country's leading Healthcare Foundation Trusts.

Candidates for this position must be HCPC registered, demonstrating a good level of technical competence and knowledge in Clinical Chemistry. The successful applicant will have relevant experience of working collaboratively as part of a laboratory team and will possess exceptional organizational skills. Following suitable training, the candidate will be required to participate in our 24/7 shift service.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
