An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Core CAMHS Occupational Therapist (Band 7) with generic CAMHS experience to work within our pathway.
Milton Keynes CAMHS is a very busy & friendly service which welcomes new skills and new ideas. It is part of Central & North West London (CNWL) Foundation Mental Health Trust. Main duties of the job
The post will include professional and practice development and ensuring high quality client centred care is delivered. The post holder will lead by example to maintain high standards of care and practice and to empower colleagues to take on a greater range of clinical tasks to improve client care in the CAMHS service. The post holder will be a highly visible presence in clinical practice and be accessible to clients and their families. They will provide advice and expertise in the management of complex cases.

Job responsibilities
To develop and carry out a robust Occupational Therapy service within the home treatment pathway within Core CAMHS developing OT pathways and processes that meet the Core CAMHS service needs.
Providing specialist Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment and intervention to children and young people of the Core CAMHS pathway across Milton Keynes, using evidenced based practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
To provide intensive home treatment support for up to eight weeks to children/young people and their families in a time of crisis, and equip them with skills and confidence, through solution and function focused interventions to enable a safe discharge from the service.
To provide a range of highly skilled short-term interventions that will be delivered on both an individual or group basis and share those skills with other team members.
