Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Wellbeing (IAPT) Service

CBT Therapists – Complex Trauma Specialism – Band 7

1 x Full time at Cannock base

1 x Full time at Tamworth base

Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust (MPFT) works in partnership with North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare (NSCHC) to deliver IAPT services across the whole of Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.

Local Community Mental Health Transformation has enabled the creation of two new posts, one within each neighborhood team in South Staffordshire, for CBT Therapists to work exclusively with patients presenting to services with complex trauma. These posts will be managed and supervised within the IAPT service with some specialist supervision provided by secondary care therapists.

Applications are invited from BABCP accredited CBT Therapists who have been qualified for a minimum of 2 years and can demonstrate significant clinical experience of working with people experiencing trauma. Training in EMDR and/or experience of working in secondary care mental health services will be advantageous.

These posts are permanent contracts but please note, funding is currently only available for the Complex Trauma posts for 12 months. If funding is not extended after this time, post holders will be offered an ongoing role within the core IAPT service as step 3 CBT therapists.
