Sheffield Teaching Hospitals has recently launched a new multi-professional Preceptorship Programme. Working alongside the Nursing Preceptorship Lead role, this temporary fixed term AHP Preceptorship role will foster a range of inter-professional development opportunities over a 12 month period and will be responsible for ensuring delivery via a blended learning approach.
During the 12 month period, they will also develop a sustainable approach to embedding the programme and maintaining the delivery using existing resources.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will develop robust processes to maintain ongoing evaluation and further development of the programme content to ensure a high quality preceptorship offer is available to support AHPs that are newly registered, internationally trained or returning to practice. This work will be in collaboration with AHP professions at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) and the Trust's Learning, Education and Development Department.
About us
You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves. The Trust is a leader in the NHS and research sectors and provides excellent benefits for its staff. This includes commitments to professional development but also many policies to support employees in balancing their personal and professional lives.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 12 months due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project's implementation and the timescales associated with this.
Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager.
