The post holder will provide a clinical pharmacy service to a group of wards under the supervision of a Clinical Pharmacist and will be primarily responsible for organisation of the training within the department for the Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants including the trainees
You must be registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician and hospital experience is desirable
Main duties of the job
The post holder has responsibility to lead and develop all aspects of education and training for pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants, working with the Lead Pharmacy Technician Education & Training.
To assess the quality of all education and training for pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants, making and implementing recommendations to ensure that good practice guidance is met.
To ensure the safe and timely provision of all in-patient medicines reconciliation, inpatient and discharge medication supply and medication counselling services to wards as a senior member of the clinical pharmacy technician team.

- BTEC and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Service
- Registered with GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
- Nationally recognised Medicines Management qualification
