This is a great opportunity to join Solent's Child & Family Service Line to support us in the operational management and delivery of high-quality health care. Working in partnership with other organisations, as well as with our primary care colleagues and community specialist services, we provide great care which keeps our patients - children and young people with their families at the heart of everything we do.

As a progressive service line, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with experience of leading multi-professional teams to join us as the CPMS Manager within the Physical Health Portfolio. This role will provide strong operational leadership for the whole service working alongside Consultant Clinical Leaders.

The successful applicant will be based in either Portsmouth or Southampton to suit but will be expected to show visible leadership across both geographical areas to support the wider team.

As the CPMS Operations Manager, you will be part of the wider Child & Family leadership team and have an excellent peer group to draw support from as well as excellent training and development opportunities available.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be accountable for the operational delivery of safe, caring, effective, responsive, and well-led clinical delivery within this service. Supported by the senior management team, they will lead the development of health services that are integrated with our health, social care and education and safeguarding partner organisations within the wider system.

This role requires proven experience of effective leadership and operational management.

About us

We have been working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Subject to approvals, the aim is for the new Trust to be formed by the end of 2024.

Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation will result in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services. The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.

The new Trust will be comprised of all the services currently provided by Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, the community, mental health and learning disability services provided by Isle of Wight NHS Trust and child and adolescent mental health services delivered in parts of Hampshire by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Colleagues will transfer to the new organisation under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) -- known as TUPE on the day the trust is formed. TUPE is a legal process to ensure you transfer out of one organisation and into another, maintaining the terms and conditions of your employment.

  • Post Graduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development

  • Masters or equivalent relevant experience gained within NHS or Local Authority or similar environment

  • At least 3 years' experience in a management role
  • Experience of analysis and reporting of data
  • Experience of implementing complex change in a clinical setting
  • Experience of inter-agency working and system delivery
  • Experience of leading health care services
  • Experience of working in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in undertaking clinical effectiveness and improvement projects and reporting outcomes
  • Experience in influencing internal/external activities
