We would like to appoint a committed Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) across Worcestershire. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic psychologist with a special interest in working with people who are presenting with their first episode of Psychosis. Dependent on experience you will be appointed at band 7 or band 8a. If appointed at band 7, upon successful completion of the development plan you will move to a band 8a. The post holder will deliver Clinical or Counselling Psychology core values and clinical practice, will work with a diverse service user group with a range of complex mental health needs. We aspire to encourage a sense of empowerment in our service users through working with the EI principles and trauma informed service delivery.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an integral member of the EIP Team, working with a varied MDT including two CBT therapists. The post holder will be a valued member of the psychology provision within the wider Trust. As a development role, supported personal and professional development will be a priority. There will be training opportunities as well as increased support whilst undertaking the development plan.
The post holder will lead on psychology referrals, provide specialist EIP individual interventions, and other psychological interventions to suit individual need. The post will also involve developing and offering group therapies, individual and group supervision/reflective practice, contribute to the psychological formulation of risk assessment, and provide consultation within the team. The post holder will participate in local and national audits, and incorporate the use of data and research to support service performance.

Qualifications

- BSc/BA Honours degree at 2:1 or above in Psychology
- Post graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
- Evidence of regular continuing professional development through further professional training and experience, as required by the
- HCPC and the BPS
- Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS
- Registered with HCPC as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
