Applications are invited from Clinical / Counselling Psychologists or a Senior Psychological Therapist enthusiastic about working within this new and exciting service. The Living Well team are a multidisciplinary, multiagency team dedicated to connecting people to integrated community support with the core principles of Lived experience and Peer support, strengths based approaches, solution focused care and trauma informed care at its heart.
Clinical work will involve assessment, psychological formulation, consultation and supervision offers for the wider team to ensure support and psychologically informed care, particularly when supporting individuals with complex needs. Assisting in the development of a group programme and consideration of individual interventions are also a key aspect of the role. As the service develops it is expected that the post holder will contribute to this development alongside a principal psychologist, operational managers and the wider system and partners.
Main duties of the job
Applicants will be able to demonstrate experience or a high level of enthusiasm/commitment to working with people who are experiencing difficulties maintaining their wellbeing and experiencing mental health difficulties. Experience of working within multiagency environments will also be an advantage. The post holder will also be required contribute to service development activities such as staff training and service evaluation. Post holders will need to contribute actively to team and multi-agency working, so a high standard of written and verbal communication is required. Living Well is currently in development, therefore the post holder will need to demonstrate flexibility and adaptiveness to service change and support ongoing prototyping and service developments.

- Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) AND Post-graduate doctorate in clinical / counselling psychology, (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996), as accredited by the BPS. AND Eligibility to register as a clinical / counselling psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. OR Alternative core health profession qualification (i.e. nursing, social work or occupational therapy) with post graduate training in a NICE recommended talking therapy (i.e. minimum of a postgraduate diploma in cognitive therapy from an accredited course), alongside appropriate current professional registration.
- Completion of relevant modules of Accredited Doctoral Clinical Psychology Course: Introduction to Supervision Courses (approx. 30 hours) or equivalent, or professional equivalent.
- Completion of further post qualification training within psychological therapies (e.g. CAT, DBT, CFT, MBT etc.)
- Qualification in leadership or management.
- Ability to travel around Salford area
