We are currently recruiting Band 5 registered Mental Health Nurses looking to pursue and develop their careers within our Mental Health Services for Older People Inpatient Services. We are a forward thinking, dynamic and supportive service which is constantly evolving.

We are keen to develop our qualified nurses by providing training and learning opportunities to enhance their skills and promote professional progression. We promise to support nurses through a preceptorship framework which enables nurses to widen their learning through a supportive model. We have an array of services within inpatient care and offer numerous opportunities for newly qualified staff to expand their knowledge in a variety of clinical areas.

We encourage all newly appointed Band 5 nurses to be supported and develop their skills at a pace that suits them and their way of learning. We offer in house and other types of training to support development of the individual and service. Alongside psychiatric care we want to develop psychological and physical health care skills and are committed to do this.

We support staff to go to other areas of the service if this is part of their development. We have good links with General Mental Health, with the University and the learning and education development unit in the Heath Hospital.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
