Community Paediatric Dietitian
Cardiff & Vale Community dietetic service is looking for a Dietitian to work in our community paediatric team. The post holder will join a team of 6 dietitians working across Cardiff and Vale.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dietitian to join our team as a band 6 or as an opportunity as a band 5 Dietitian to gain skills in Paediatric dietetics.
The service provides dietetic supports to children and their families at home through community clinics, home visits and working with schools. Services are delivered through a mix of virtual and face to face consultations and group education.
Main duties of the job
You will be based in Riverside Health Centre with close links to St David's Children's Centre where Dietitians are a core part of the paediatric MDT. Some knowledge of paediatric dietetics is desirable, but comprehensive training and clinical supervision will be provided.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a practical, forward thinking approach to service development and evaluation and the ability to work in a team
You are required to travel around Cardiff and Vale as part of this role, including carrying equipment, and some evening and weekend work may be required.
Full time, part-time and flexible hours applications will be considered.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh / English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
