Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist interested in a new challenge and interested in being a part of the delivery and further development of ground-breaking Mental Health Services?

The Trust is seeking to recruit an Adult of Working Age Inpatient Consultant. The post holder will be based at Ashurst Ward on the Littlemore Mental Health Centre Site

Come and join a team that is part of the well-established Inpatient Mental Health service, working on a 11-bed psychiatric intensive care ward.

These services form part of the patient pathway and work in conjunction with our community mental health teams, crisis resolution and home treatment teams, as well as early intervention services.

You will work alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team made up of a variety of individuals including psychiatrists, psychologists, community psychiatric nurses, approved social workers, occupational therapists, and support workers, providing the individual with a whole range of support.

We have a strong tradition as a leading Trust for teaching, training, and research, with close links to both the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University.

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust has been rated as good by the CQC. The Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership is an exciting partnership that formally brings together six local mental health organizations from the NHS and the charity sector: Connection Floating Support, Elmore Community Services, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, Oxfordshire Mind, Response and Restore. The aim is to work much more closely with each other and with people who have mental health problems, their careers, and families to make it easier for people to get the best possible patient focused support when they need it.

We are offering exciting opportunities to combine leadership, management, clinical/educational supervisor, and safeguarding lead roles with clinical duties, and we support flexible working practices.

We work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a strong and supportive clinical network of Consultants underpinned by a culture of compassionate leadership and are committed to both staff development and job enrichment.
