We are looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist, with the relevant skills in rehabilitation and management, to join our team in Wokingham Community Hospital. Windsor and Ascot wards are community physical health inpatient wards, caring for adults with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions, providing rehabilitation.
The role is full time, but part time would be considered down to 30 hour per week.
The unit is based in Wokingham close to shops and public transport for easy commuting. Wokingham Community Hospital staff are eligible for 'fringe London weighting' under agenda for change, which equates to an additional 5% of your basic NHS salary, and free parking on our hospital site.
Main duties of the job
Are you passionate about working with patients with complex needs to support their independence and function?
The post holder will have a range of Occupational Therapy skills and experience, be well organised and will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality service as part of the MDT. The post involves working alongside the Inpatient Services Manager and is a mix of both a clinical case load and the management of junior colleagues and service delivery. This requires someone with effective communication skills, a flexible approach, and an ability to work under pressure, both as part of a multi-disciplinary team and independently.
There is a strong professional leadership structure within our organisation, and you will be supported by the Inpatient Services Manager, and the Occupational Therapy Professional Lead.
