We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist on a substantive basis as part of our comprehensive CAMHS Service in North Derbyshire, based in The Den at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
We operate out of a main base in 'The Den' at Chesterfield Royal Hospital which is a purpose built children's unit, and from a base in Buxton which is out in the Derbyshire High Peak.
CAMHS provides specialist mental health services to a population of approximately 90,000 children and young adults across our region. This is delivered by two generic Tier 3 teams along with Community Advisors and teams for Urgent Care, Eating Disorders, Intensive Home Treatment, DBT, plus an LD CAMHS team.
Our current medical team of six Consultant Psychiatrists and two Specialty Doctors function as a strong supportive group, and co-location of CAMHS with Paediatrics at the Royal has resulted in highly positive relationships and partnership working across both services.
The successful Candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a flexible approach. You will be a team player who enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary setting with highly experienced and skilled staff while being capable of providing clinical leadership for the team.
Out of hours will be required on a 1 in 7 on call rota.
