The post holder will lead the Resuscitation Services across the Trust providing a comprehensive service.
The post holder will lead in the development and delivery of all aspects of resuscitation training, and participation in the investigation of untoward incidents relating to any aspect of resuscitation. The post holder will advise in resuscitation in practice and work in the commissioning of resuscitation equipment. The post holder will provide expert advice to all areas of the Trust concerning resuscitation.Theywill be responsible for coordinating in-hospital resuscitation audit.

Main duties of the job
- Develop and co-ordinate effective systems of training to ensure that staff in all areas within the Trust have access to appropriate and timely resuscitation training, according to their job role and clinical need, from Trust induction and throughout their role within the Trust
- Co-chair the Resuscitation Committee
- Ensure that all resuscitation performed in the Trust conforms to the guidelines on good practice in resuscitation.
- Maintain own levels of clinical competence within resuscitation practice.
- Where possible address issues around the practice of resuscitation with the staff involved at the earliest, reasonable, opportunity after the event. Address non-compliance to acceptable practice.
- Support audit systems that will provide meaningful and accurate measures of performance and practice, demonstrating adherence to International/National guidelines.
