Do you have an passion for transforming lives? Are you trained in Positive Behaviour Support and/or Applied Behaviour Analysis?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Practitioner in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to join our Learning Disability, Medium Secure Forensic Service in Oxford.
We are a 10 bedded unit with a first rate nursing and multi-disciplinary team approach. We specialise in the care and support of men with Learning Disabilities to meet their Physical Health, Mental Health and Forensic needs.
We believe in a Humanistic Model of Care that respects the Human Rights of Patients, Families and Staff to improve the quality of life for everyone in our service.
We uses the Positive Behavioural Support Framework to understand behaviours of concern, to educate, and to communicate needs in a more effective and safe manner.
We use a values based approach to use kind words, with a safe space and a listening ear to deliver care which is Safe, Caring and Excellent.
Our aim is to develop skills to live safely in the community and support individuals to plan for their forever home. We prioritise reducing risk via education, formulation and skill building.
We are seeking a competent PBS Lead who can provide further training and support to enhance the implementation of PBS on our ward. The successful candidate will work on shift to demonstrate PBS in practice whilst delivering education and training to the wider team. We have received training for our staff from BILD and have PBS coaches as part of our staff teams. We seek a passionate practitioner who can lead our PBS framework further. The post holder will, work on a fixed term contract to support the integration of PBS with time aside to promoting and develop PBS plans within the ward.
