The Trust is looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor to join our Employee Relations Team. This is a new role so the successful candidate will be instrumental in setting up this in-house provision.
Although you will be a core member of the People Directorate, you will receive professional support from our Head of Legal Services, and you will liaise with the Trust's Employment Solicitors. You will be the first point of contact for all aspects relating to employment law issues and you will act on behalf of the Trust.
The successful candidate with have a Law Degree & LPC (or equivalent) and will be registered as a Solicitor with the SRA or with CILEX as a Legal Executive. In addition, the successful candidate will have employment law experience including advocacy at Employment Tribunals.
Main duties of the job
Key duties include providing employment advice and support during internal disputes, investigations and processes prior to litigation and defending Employment Tribunal Claims. The Employment Solicitor will advise upon and manage exposure to legal risk.
