If you would like to have more fun and flexibility at work, we could be the team you’re looking for. We are seeking a Band 7 Non-Medical Prescriber for 12 months. In accordance with the iThrive model you would be working within the ‘Getting More Help’ branch of our service assessing and treating young people with more enduring or complex presentations with consideration to medical prescribing where appropriate.

If you’re reading this advert you may be appraising the last 12 months and mulling over your career. And what a year it has been with NHS staff working through unprecedented times; many people have been challenged to reappraise priorities and what is most important to them. We now have several vacancies, as staff have taken up new opportunities within the Trust that have arisen with extra funding to develop our services.

At Oxford Health Trust, we do things differently and acknowledge how important it is to have a work life balance. There’s no doubt that work can be tricky, and things don’t always go to plan, but we are all about supporting each other and being able to laugh together when things go awry. You will already know how to do your job, and we can continue to develop this but what is most important is that you are happy in your role with our amazing team who will keep you buoyant if you are having a rubbish day. Work can bring both rewards and challenges, but it is this strong supportive team that get you through.

Our team ethos is very simple: come to work, be happy, be yourself, do your job, be kind, eat lunch and go home on time.

We embody the importance of staff wellbeing in our practice, and this is why we are interested to get to know you as a person and hear what you would like from your job. Over the last 24 months we have charted unknown territory and out of this has come some positive changes in the workplace. Our team is now kitted out with all the technological paraphernalia necessary to make working from home a truly realistic option. We have challenged ourselves to become ‘tech savvy’ and support each other with shortcuts and know how. Working from home is a component part of our business and enables flexible working to be a viable option.

When we are not working from home, we are based in the tranquil setting of a nice community hospital next door to the Savernake forest, which is a fabulous place to walk and get some headspace. The vibrant market town of Marlborough, with its infamous college which boasts such luminaries as Sir John Betjeman is only a short walk and provides a wealth of shopping opportunities and a strong sense of community. The town and surrounding countryside are a beautiful and safe place to live, with good schools and quality of life and the network rail commute to London is less than an hour.

You will be supported by the generosity of excellent team knowledge and experience on both a formal and informal basis. Clinical and managerial supervision are augmented profession specific supervision as required with systemic and psychodynamic opportunities. We also benefit from regular team safeguarding supervision. You will do your mandatory training and there will be occasions to benefit from CPD training as it becomes available. We have a thorough induction process, and you will be paired with other new starters as you begin to find your feet in your role.

So, if you are thinking you might like to join our big, generous family, please contact the Clinical or Deputy Team Manager to find out a bit more about the role. If you would like to know what it is like to work here, please call anyone of us to find out more on: 01865 904666.
