Ward Manager - Band 7
Full time, permanent role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced RMN to join our inpatient mental health ward management team, working within our psychiatric Rehabilitation Services.
Hawkesbury Lodge is a tier 2 rehabilitation unit based in Longford, Coventry. It is a 20 bedded unit that provides care for patients that require mental health rehabilitation needs following an admission from an acute in-patient ward or directly from the community
The individual would need to show a keen interest or demonstrate experience of working within the rehabilitation sector.
The aim of the service is to provide high quality care and support in a homely environment and the successful candidate should be able to evidence how we can empower our patients to recognise their true potential and to prepare for community living whilst engaging in the recovery programme

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic leaders to join our inpatient management team.
You will be responsible for maintaining quality and standards on the ward and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the service strives to provide the best possible care.
Continuous service development is a key aspect of this role so an understanding of quality improvement models would be beneficial.

Person Specification QUALIFICATIONS Essential
- Registered Nurse (RNMH - Mental Health).
- Management Qualification (Diploma level or above) or equivalent level of experience
- Extensive post registration clinical experience in a relevant area or similar
- Experience of staff management, supervising staff and carrying out appraisal
- Experience of staffing resource management in line with Standing Financial Instructions.
- Must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Act.
- Able to supervise and support staff working with the above Service Users
- Must be able and willing to travel as necessary for the effective performance of the post.
