We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (Band 7) with proven clinical skills within the long-term management of respiratory patients to join our passionate and dedicated Respiratory Specialist Service on the Isle of Man. This post has been created to assist in meeting the growing needs of the Islands population. Main duties of the job

You will demonstrate a high level of practice and knowledge participating in direct patient care in the management of long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis and interstitial lung disease. As part of the multi-disciplinary team you will assist in providing specialist advice, care and support for patients, their families and carers, in both hospital and community settings. This will include participation in admission avoidance, early and supported discharge, specialist outpatient clinics and pulmonary rehabilitation. This role demands the ability to be anexcellent team player and communicator, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient-centred care with a desire to contribute to high quality and innovative service provision and development. You will also need to be able to work autonomously in nurse-led elements of this service. The Respiratory Nursing service is currently delivered over 5 days a week, Monday Friday but as the service evolves this may be subject to change.

Essential

  • Registered Nurse Sub-Part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council [NMC]
  • Educated at Degree /Masters level/or equivalent level of experience within field of respiratory
  • Commitment to working towards MSc /ANP qualification
  • Possesses a recognised teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent experience
  • Prescribing qualification (V300) or willing to work towards
