A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist to join the Coventry and Rugby Healthy Mind IAPT team, to provide excellent high quality interventions in accordance with NICE guidelines. Working with clients who are presenting with a range of complex depression related problems and who are deemed appropriate for psychodynamic psychotherapy.

We support flexible working and currently offer a mix of remote and face to face treatments however a fully remote option would be considered however please note that there may be occasions when attendance would be required at the service base or for training.

The post holder will be part of an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service and will provide Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy for individuals diagnosed with depression.

The post holder will work within the remit of the Dynamic Interpersonal training

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

The candidate must have completed the IAPT specific (DIT) Dynamic Interpersonal Training Course and have substantial therapeutic experience.

The criteria that MUST be met are as follows:
  • Diploma inPsychodynamic therapy or other relevant IAPT compliant therapyandsuccessfully completed theIAPT DIT training

and
  • HPC registered or,UKCP,BPC,BACP accredited


Person Specification QUALIFICATIONS Essential
  • Diploma in psychodynamic therapy or other IAPT compliant therapy
  • Successfully completed the IAPT Dynamic Interpersonal Training Course
  • HPC registered or BACP/UKCP/BCP accredited
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Essential
  • Full range of skills as laid out in the competency framework for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Lemma 2011)
  • Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS
EXPERIENCE Essential
  • Significant post qualification experience and supervised practice
  • Experience of working in a medical setting, IAPT, primary care, mental health services, social services or equivalent setting
  • Highly experienced in working therapeutically with a diverse and complex patient population, including patients from diverse ethnic backgrounds, using interpreters if needed. Sensitive to and respectful of patients' differing cultural, religious and social issues.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Essential
  • Car driver and car owner and able to move within one day to more than one practice.
