Permanent position

Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust (LPFT) is an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies site (IAPT). An opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Interpersonal Therapy Practitioner or a Trainee Interpersonal Therapist within the Steps2change IAPT Service. The Service provides evidence based interventions within a stepped care model, for the treatment of people with mild to moderate common mental health problems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major national initiative, which has fundamentally changed the way in which psychological treatments are provided. Steps2change has 9 bases within the organisation all of which will be considered for the successful candidate.

The Interpersonal Therapy Practitioner (Band 6) will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver IPT Step 3 treatment interventions to people experiencing depression whilst undertaking the IPT training qualification. Regular clinical supervision will be provided by qualified supervisors. The service has a strong commitment towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD), staff wellbeing and providing quality services.

The Trainee Interpersonal Practitioner (Band 5) will be provided with the appropriate IPT training starting October 2022 with the expectation of successfully completing the course and requirements to pass. Once successfully completed training you would move to a Band 6.

We are looking for motivated individuals with demonstrable knowledge of mental health and IAPT service delivery. In addition, an understanding of the role of IPT and the key skills required for this role are essential.
