We are looking for ENPs join our friendly team in a busy and demanding Urgent and Emergency Care Centre. You'll need post-registration experience, excellent communication skills and, of course, a passion for minor injuries management. We are currently recruiting Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP) or equivalent extended scope practitioners to help maintain the very high standards of care we strive to maintain. The successful candidates will help deliver the quality and safety agenda for the department and provide excellent leadership skills to the diverse team. Our dynamic, caring and highly-motivated team are looking for an ENP who can communicate clearly and empathetically with Patients and relatives as well as other team members, you must be able to work as an autonomous Practitioner in the management of minor injuries and preferable have experience in Emergency care setting and will be expected to work the full complement of the rota as required by the service.
We have a mix of permanent and fixed term roles.
Main duties of the job
In your role you will autonomously undertake assessment and treatment of Patients in the Urgent and Emergency Care Centre who may present with complex or minor injuries to determine a clinical diagnosis, treatment and appropriate management and discharge as indicated. As well as maintaining Patient records and being a source of clinical expertise to less experienced staff, enhancing the nurses skills and knowledge, and work in partnership within a multi-disciplinary team. You will work as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner in line with relevant policies and guidelines, to autonomously assess, diagnose, treat and discharge adult & Paediatric Patients and carry out extended skills such as x-ray interpretation, suturing and contribute to the training and assessment of others.
