We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join our dynamic, supportive, and friendly team at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry which forms part of the Division of Clinical Blood Sciences (CBS).
This post will be initially based in the Chemistry Automation laboratory located at St Helier Hospital. However, the post holder may be required to work at any of the South West London Pathology (SWLP) hospital sites as and when necessary.

Main duties of the job
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic motivated and focused person to lead and supervise the day-to-day delivery of a busy service ensuring clinical results are provided in a timely and efficient manner. The post holder will be keen to adapt to new challenges and ways of working as services are transformed as part of an expanded South West London Pathology (SWLP) network.
This post is based within the Department of Clinical Biochemistry and you may be required to work across other laboratories including Biochemistry Automation and Newborn Screening. There is an expectation of the post holder to participate in the out of hours service provision if required.
The Chemistry Automation laboratory at St Helier Hospital provides a dynamics range of specialist biochemistry assays performed by Abbott Alinity analysers connected to GLP automation. Experience of developing methods would be desirable, but not essential.
