We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Paediatric Staff Nurses to work within our new Paediatric Emergency Department.
We are looking for individuals with transferrable post registration experience or a recent Emergency Department sign off placement who also have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
If you are confident, motivated, willing to learn and extend your practice as opportunities arise we would be excited to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
To deliver exemplary nursing care to all Children presenting to the Emergency Department at Northampton General Hospital whilst working within a team of dynamic and motivated healthcare professionals

Job responsibilities
To act at all times, with regard to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Professional Conduct.
To be aware of and adhere to the Trusts policies and guidelines.
To be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care maintaining the highest standards possible at all times.
The individual will work predominately in the Paediatric area but will be asked to flex to adult areas as per demand of department
To liaise with members of the health care team and patients families to discuss care appropriate to individual patients.
To have a patient focussed approach to care, ensuring that each individual patient has the best care possible.
To be motivated to acquire new skills and knowledge.
To be responsible for the accurate documentation of nursing information and be aware of the necessity, at all times, for effective written and verbal communication.
To utilise the best practice available, utilising research and/or evidence based practice at all times.
To support both senior and junior members of staff and students, demonstrating commitment and loyalty to the profession and the Directorate.
To help create a positive working environment for all members of the health care team, promoting positive working practices at all times.
To attend and participate in department meetings, helping to implement change as required.
To attend a regular performance review with the Ward Sister, Charge Nurse or Senior Nurse.
To assist in the ordering and storage of supplies ensuring that the most cost effective use is made of resources.
