Looking for a new challenge working in mental health care? Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT) has 2 permanent Band 6 Charge Nurse Vacancies at the forest centre.
The Forest Centre is a purpose built facility for those aged over 65 with mental health difficulties. There are two wards comprising of an 8 bedded Organic ward and a 16 bedded functional ward. NHFT is rated 'Outstanding' in the last CQC Inspection and staff will be supported to develop new skills through training and development.
The Forest Centreare looking for an individual who can demonstrate leadership skills andhas a genuine interest and desire to care for older adults. We require staff that are compassionate and empathetic to the needs of our service users and carers. The ideal candidate will have 12 months post -registration experience at band 5 and will have completed a mentorship qualification.
As a 24-hour service, the successful candidate will be expected to work shifts including weekends and night duty. This role involves holding allocated CTL (Clinical Team Leader) role for St Mary's on rotation. The ideal candidate will be mentored within this part of the role and given support.
There is a strong emphasis on a multi-disciplinary approach to care, which is highly focused on service user needs; therefore, team working, and effective communication skills are essential. Staff will be required to engage in the provision of activities to promote well-being.
