As an EDI specialist the post holder will be working closely with the site senior leadership team to support University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust's (UHB) commitment to DEI that will shape and deliver the culture for our staff, patients, and local community.
The post holder will lead on the implementation of DEI action plans and provide support across the site embedding our trust values and promoting a culture the celebrates and embraces difference.
The post holder will be driving the promotion of an inclusive and equitable workplace environment where all colleagues are respected, valued, and empowered to contribute to their fullest potential. The role will involve developing, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that foster DEI for a specific site or Clinical Divisional Group (CDG).
The post holder will analyse workforce demographics, employee feedback, and other data to measure the effectiveness of DEI initiatives and recommend adjustments as needed. You will serve as a resource for employees, providing guidance on DEI -related matters, addressing concerns, and promoting a culture of inclusivity and belonging.

Main duties of the job
*This role is part of the Inclusion Department for the Trust
*The post holder will be responsible for contributing to shaping and delivering the culture for our colleagues on their specific site of Clinical Divisional Group (CDG).
*The post holder will be responsible to facilitating and organising the delivery and implementation of site or Clinical Divisional Group (CDG) equality campaigns and events to raise awareness and foster good relationships between colleagues of different backgrounds.
*The post holder will be working closely and in partnership with the site or Clinical Divisional Group (CDG) senior leadership team (SLT) by providing specialist knowledge on all aspects of inclusion to increase staff engagement, experience and performance.
*The post holder will work closely with the site or Clinical Divisional Group (CDG) senior leadership team (SLT) to understand their business needs and develop effective, measurable people focused solutions to meet these requirements.
*The post holder will work with the site or Clinical Divisional Group (CDG) senior leadership team (SLT) to support DEI to be embedded in all activities.
*The post holder will lead and co-ordinate specific DEI projects that are specific to their site or Clinical Divisional Group (CDG that are in line with the trusts DEI strategy.
*Under the direction of the Associate Director of Inclusion you will work closely with the other DEI Business Partners so that all work is also aligned to the DEI Strategy.
