An exciting opportunity has arisen in Salford Inpatients Acute Services. We specialise in the assessment and treatment of people with a broad spectrum of acute and enduring mental health needs. We provide care and treatment to inpatients that are experiencing an acute phase of a mental illness. Our aim is to manage and reduce the risks associated with acute episodes of mental illness through evidence-based assessment and treatment, and psychosocial interventions for individuals and their families.

Meadowbrook has four wards which have one vacancy each. The wards at Meadowbrook are Chaucer Ward, Eagleton Ward, Keats Ward and Maccoll Ward. Chaucer Ward is an 8 bedded male psychiatric intensive care unit. Eagleton ward is a 19 bedded male acute ward for Salford patients. Keats ward is an 18 bedded female acute ward. Maccoll Ward is an 18 bedded male acute ward for Manchester patients.

We are looking for skilled and enthusiastic Band 5 nurses to work within our multi professional team. You will be part of a caring and compassionate team that is committed to supporting patients through their recovery journey.

We are seeking newly qualified or experienced mental health nurses.

Main duties of the job

Meadowbrook has a adopted a trauma informed and least restrictive approach to ensure high quality and safe patient care.

Our wards are busy and need staff that show a high degree of motivation and commitment to deliver excellent care. We have a substantial support package available to new starters and staff on the preceptorship pathway.

  • Already holds nursing PIN
  • Degree in health care related topc

  • Demonstrates good communication skills
  • Evidence of working within an MDT
  • Inpatient experience
  • Awareness of CPA, risk assessment and carer involvement

  • Evidence of working in areas outside of inpatients


Experience
