Head of Nursing - Mental Health Services
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Nursing team and lead our strategic and operational Mental Health Strategy at ESHT making a significant impact on our mental health services and wellbeing of our patients.
We are looking for an experienced senior Registered Mental Health Nurse or dual qualification RGN/RMN to join our dynamic team and lead on improving our mental health services across the Trust.
The post holder will need to lead on a workforce, operational and estates strategy to enhance and improve the quality of care to our patients with acute mental health needs. The post holder will also provide proactive senior nursing leadership and the development, education and management of a defined enhanced care team.

There is a requirement to participate in the silver on call manager rota as required.
Main duties of the job
Development and implementation of our comprehensive strategy for mental health pathways
Collaboration with our internal and external partners to ensure strategic alignment and development of effective initiatives.
Design and implement initiatives that enhance the quality of care, patient experience and safety for individuals attending the Trust with mental health needs, following best practices and evidence based guidelines
Provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring effective resource allocation, stakeholder engagement and collaboration across the multidisciplinary teams
Foster a culture within the Trust that recognises and promotes parity of esteem for all patients, promoting mental health awareness
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of mental health pathways, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary change
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, policies and procedures related to mental health care
Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support the development and implementation of therapeutic interventions and enhanced care protocols
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the mental health pathways team.
