We are seeking a Practitioner Psychologist to join multi-disciplinary colleagues in the field of stroke. Skills in consultation, psychological adjustment and neuropsychology are key and can be developed in this role.
The post-holder will also benefit from joining the large professional network of Clinical Health Psychology across Barts Health NHS Trust, including other colleagues in stroke, community neuro, cardiac, critical care, major trauma etc. This presents rich opportunities for supervision, CPD and other professional support and governance. We are proud of our recruitment and retention record and know that it is important to feel supported at work in many ways, including being supported in the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology, as just one option.
Please only apply if you meet the criteria on the person specification. Please only apply if you are registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
Please speak to us about recruitment options if you wish to consider part-time, flexible working or a preceptorship band 7 to 8a.

Responsible for planning, developing and providing a psychology service supporting the rehabilitation and self-management of stroke across the pathway from the ward and into in the community, both directly and indirectly, through staff and carer consultation
Teaching, training and supervision of nursing and other multi-disciplinary colleagues on neuropsychological theory and practice, as required.
Implementation of the published guidance for stroke, to maximise an embedded approach to team working, and other service delivery, based upon the evidence base and NHS guidelines.
Providing clinical supervision to qualified, assistant and trainee clinical psychologists, as required.
