The CAMHS Eating Disorder team was developed in 2016. The aim of the service was to deliver a specialist community eating disorders service to children and young people aged 8 – 18 years across South Staffordshire. Six years on, it is an exciting time to join the team due to the opportunity to be part of developing future pathways in a growing service. The team have recently secured additional investment to further expand the current service provision, as well as develop a new service provision in relation to Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder – ARFID

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Dietitian to support the delivery & development of dietetics within the team. The role will be an integral valued member of the multidisciplinary team, providing specialist dietetic advice and support to children, young people, their families & professionals, in both assessments and treatment pathways. A key part of the role will be to offer intensive support to children, young people & their families within the community environment i.e home visits, support at school. The role will also encompass education and training to various members of the community such as family members in parent psychoeducation groups, nursing staff and CAMHS workers.

You will need to have a highly flexible approach and be willing to travel across the locality. The team is based in Stafford with services provided across a range of other localities.

This is a fantastic time to join the Trust where considerable growth and development is taking place not only in the CAMHS Eating Disorder Team, but a number of new developments across the range of our CAMHS provision; CAMHS Crisis, Intensive Support team, as well as further development of our Mental Health Support Teams in schools.

As a team we have always had the benefits of access to training in addition to regular clinical and management supervision. You can rely on the support of our team as well as strong links to colleagues in wider services and the support of professional leadership.

You will have the opportunity to help us genuinely shape and develop a service to be proud of. A service that delivers real benefits to children, young people and their families!

Please note this vacancy will close as soon as sufficient applications have been received, so please apply as soon as possible, if interested.
