We are excited to be looking for an experienced senior operational manager to join the Medical Division at Wye Valley Trust.

The role is operationally leading and managing the medical specialties of Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Neurology and Respiratory + associated diagnostic services.

The successful candidate should be dedicated, organised, dynamic and show strong leadership qualities to manage these specialist services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for the daily operational management of the Clinical Directorate, working with the Clinical Director and Modern Matron to deliver high quality and cost effective services.

• Extensive experience of managing acute hospital service
• Experience of implementing a quality improvement process
• Experience of developing services in a multi-disciplinary team

• Understanding and experience of project management skills
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience of the key principles of managing change
• Evidence of high level of communication and influencing skills
• Ability to critically analyse complex data and understand the effects of variation

Education & Qualifications

• 1st Level degree or equivalent
• MSc level or relevant training or experience
• Evidence of business management education or equivalent experience
