Are you an enthusiastic dietitian with a genuine passion for working with people with diabetes? If so we have an exciting opportunity for you! We have a vacancy in out teamfor a motivated and enthusiastic dietitian to join our dynamic team of specialist and highly specialist diabetes dietitians delivering high quality, innovative services across the city. The team deliver a wide range of specialist outpatient diabetes services across primary and secondary care including input into multidisciplinary intermediary diabetes care, patient education and secondary care services such as antenatal clinic, renal diabetes services and transition services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be involved in delivering multidisciplinary diabetes intermediary care clinics and structured patient education sessions along with other health education and health promotion events. They will also be involved in providing training and education for other Health Care Professionals including peer support for practice nurses and GPs. The post holder will be expected to lead on a number of clinical and service development projects and comprehensive training and educational opportunities are available.
Bradford's Nutrition & Dietetic Service comprises of a team of 50 Dietitians working in Acute, Community and Primary Care settings, supported by an excellent clerical team with good IT facilities. Professional Development opportunities exist within the Dietetic Department and Clinical Effectiveness, Audit and Professional Standards are given high priority. The Department takes 'B' and 'C' Placement dietetic students.
Bradford is a vibrant, diverse, multicultural city with a wide range of entertainment and leisure activities available locally. There are good road/rail networks to Leeds and the M62 corridor, with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the South Pennines.

Work areas may change so applicants do need to be flexible. Applicants should be HPC registered dietitians who have relevant dietetic post registration experience, and should be a car driver with access to a car.
