An exciting and rewarding opportunity has opened up for a kind and aspirational candidate to join the Oncology Team at Imperial College Healthcare, Private care at Charing Cross Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The Chemotherapy Charge Nurse will be responsible for providing evidence based care to our private patients.
The Chemotherapy Charge Nurse will manage a caseload of patients, providing assistance with scheduling, pre-treatment investigations, administration of treatment, monitoring as well as triage and follow up care. Offering information, expert advice and emotional support to patients undergoing treatment.
Additionally the Chemotherapy Charge Nurse will undertake managerial tasks and maintain excellent patient experience within the unit. Working collaboratively with the Oncologists and the wider MDT to ensure excellent high quality patient care is delivered effectively and efficiently and in line with national and trust guidelines.
The appointed candidate will be passionate and proactive in setting out and achieving a seamless pathway for patients in which patient experience is at the heart of decision making.

Essential
- Registered Nurse on part 1 of the NMC Register
- Experienced in administering Intravenous fluids and medications
- Oncology Experience
- Chemotherapy/SACT experience
Desirable
- Mentorship
- Has attained or is working towards a 1st Degree
Experience

- Extensive experience within Multi speciality nursing
- Experience of working within Oncology
- Knowledge of quality, standard setting, benchmarking and audit
- Knowledge of NMC Code
