Band 5 Orthoptist
PLEASE NOTE: This is a fixed-term post for 9 months to cover a secondment.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 5 Orthoptist to join our team of 17 orthoptists working across the county of Berkshire.
This post would suit a newly qualified Orthoptist.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work in our core orthoptic clinics, paediatric ophthalmology and adult motility service, and may be required to cover visual field and OCT clinics.

Job responsibilities
The post holder is an entry level orthoptist who, acting within his / her professional boundaries, provides care for the presenting patient, from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
They will work autonomously but within Trust and HCPC policies, protocols and guidelines, demonstrating safe, clinical decision-making, high levels of critical thinking and holistic practice.
