We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making within our organisation. You will work closely with healthcare professionals and managers to extract, analyse and interpret data, providing valuable insights to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Main duties of the job
- Assisting the Head of Cancer Performance with cancer waiting time and other performance standards analysis.
- Monitor and report on the impact of cancer improvement projects.
- Work with Divisional Business Analysts to create activity plans meeting cancer waiting time targets.
- Develop and automate models for cancer waiting time trajectories.
- Lead Demand and Capacity for cancer, supporting services in using and interpreting models.
- Ensure cancer reporting needs are met in collaboration with the Business Intelligence Team.
- Promote, train, and support effective use of cancer reports for decision-making.
- Ensure effective data capture for cancer performance monitoring.
- Compare UHDB cancer performance with peers to identify improvement areas.
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience in developing and automating models for performance tracking.
- Proficiency in using business intelligence tools (SQL, Power bi) for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of cancer performance standards and reporting requirements is highly desirable.
