You'll work alongside Advanced Nurse Clinicians, Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Consultants, and Senior Healthcare Assistants who support us all the way. On starting you're assigned a mentor to work alongside you for the first couple of weeks - we get lots of positive feedback about this.
124,000 patients come through our doors yearly, 18,000 of these are children & 700 are major trauma patients as our Preston site is the Regional Major Trauma Centre for the North West. The very distinctive Air Ambulance helicopter can be seen flying in & out of Preston a few times a day - bringing people from across the region to be treated.

We are a forward thinking department with a real emphasis on staff development and training we have our own clinical educator, who delivers up to date training across both sites for all your learning needs. Our Consultants and Senior Medical staff are on shift 24/7 at RPH but always there to support the team at CDH. The relationship between our medical and nursing staff is second to none.
