Join our friendly and motivated team at King's Mill Hospital! We are looking to recruit a full-time BI Developer to join a dynamic and collaborative team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and inspired individual to join our Information Development Team. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of the Trust's Business Intelligence (BI) and dashboard reporting solutions. Your work will be crucial in transforming data into actionable insights, enabling key decision-makers to monitor performance, enhance service planning, and develop effective services critical to the health and well-being of the population.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about supporting the health and well-being of our community through innovative data solutions.

Knowledge Requirements

Essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of NHS performance targets and timescales
  • Knowledge of NHS requirements for business intelligence reporting
  • Awareness and understanding of nationally driven agendas
  • National & local performance/quality standards
  • Knowledge of Database management, performance and administration


Qualifications- Academic/Craft/Professional

Essential

  • Degree level or equivalent relevant experience


Desirable

  • Relevant higher academic qualification
  • Formal project management qualification e.g. PRINCE2


Further Training

Essential

  • SQL Server Reporting
  • Training in the use of BI Stack (SQL Server Reporting, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services)


Desirable

  • Power BI, Qlik Sense


Experience

Essential

  • Experience of developing business intelligence solutions (reports and dashboards)
  • Experience in designing and implementing relational databases and reporting environments
  • Effective personal written and oral communication skills
  • Extensive experience of PAS/hospital systems
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills


Desirable

  • Use of Power BI and SharePoint to deliver business intelligence
  • Use of Infoflex desktop and web solutions


Contractual Requirements

Essential

  • Full driving licence and access to a car
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the role
  • There may be a requirement to work at other hospital sites
