Midwifery Clinical Skills Educator Band 6 22.5 Hours per week
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Band 6 Midwife to join our friendly and passionate team. We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and dedicated midwife who has appropriate clinical experience, skills and knowledge to provide clinical support to Early Career and Internationally Recruited midwives, and to contribute to outstanding care across our services - which cover community midwifery, antenatal, consultant and midwife-led intrapartum care and postnatal.
Our maternity services strive to provide outstanding, evidence-based, individualised care - our recent Ockenden assurance visit provided positive feedback to support our work.

You will work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide outstanding care, making a real difference to experience and outcomes. We expect you to work autonomously within Trust guidelines and the sphere of professional practice to provide safe, effective and personalised care, acting as an advocate for women and their families.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a visible and proactive role model that supports development in Early Career and Internationally Recruited midwives. They will also provide support to the Practice Development Midwife, in ensuring the core competency framework is achieved and supporting with development and facilitation of training for the wider workforce.
This role requires a midwife who is confident in both working independently and collaborating with others in the provision of high-quality learning experiences within the maternity unit for Newly Qualified Midwives and Internationally Recruited midwives undertaking the Midwifery Preceptorship programme.
