We are looking for a committed and forward-thinking lead for patient experience to join our Trust, leading on Patient experience and engagement. The role will include strong leadership with multidisciplinary partnership and public working in order to continue to develop the patient experience and engagement agenda and ensure we consistently deliver high quality care informed by our patient's voice.
The post holder will be the responsible strategic lead for the development and implementation of the Trust strategy for improving patient and carer experience and engagement for the QEH and related services across the ICS. They will need to be an influential senior leader working within the corporate team to provide strategic leadership and expert specialist advice concerning all areas of patient engagement and patient experience.
Main duties of the job
You will hold a significant role in the continued development of high quality patient experience and care quality for the Trust. Providing support and guidance to staff ensuring a patient focused service through the provision of leadership and management of the Trust's Patient Engagement & Experience Team, Volunteer Services and for patient/community focussed equality & diversity activities. The lead will be the primary source of expert professional leadership, advice and guidance to the Trust Board and Divisions in matters of patient engagement, patient experience including complaints and volunteering, to deliver an outstanding patient experience for the Trust and across the ICS.
You will work closely with the Chief nurse team and teams within the Trust and externally including medical and operational colleagues, partnership agencies, colleagues in the ICS and the population we serve at an exciting but challenging time, providing strong leadership, motivation and inspiration. Actively attend and contribute to local and national networks and promote the Trust as the ambassador through attendance, publication and contribution as appropriate.
You will need to have demonstrable previous experience of strategic and operational delivery, experience at patient and public engagement experience in team and individuals, management of experience of a team and individuals and leadership.
