Immunisation Nurse - Bank
EPUT 'Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust' are looking for Bank immunisation nurses to join our immunisation teams covering Essex to deliver the flu programme this Autumn.
The service is primarily delivered through a school-based model, offering all school aged vaccinations. We continually strive to ensure every young person has the opportunity to receive their vaccinations and this is supported through the running of community based clinics and through call and recall.
We also offer vaccinations for the selective BCG & Hep B programmes through community based clinics.
A current UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for the post.
Main duties of the job
To deliver vaccinations in line with the UK National Childhood Immunisation schedule in a variety of settings across Essex
You will be required to travel to schools and clinics across the locality when on duty.
You will be an RN/RMN/RSCN with an interest in children and a good working knowledge of the child health immunisation service. The post holder must like children and have a compassionate manner when dealing with large groups of children and be able to work in a busy school setting and clinic environment.
You will be required to support in the planning and delivery of health promotion and engaging with the local community and schools to help improve uptake of vaccinations in the area.
