We are looking for a physiotherapist who is passionate about deliveringa high quality, evidence-based physiotherapy service to staff. You should have evidence of time spent working at band 5/6 level or equivalent and experience of working in a musculoskeletal (MSK) outpatient setting.
The role is based in Southmead Hospital's outpatient physiotherapy department. It involves working in the MSK Physiotherapy Staff Wellbeing Team, therefore the majority of the patient caseload are NHS staff members. Staff members self-refer into the service so are generally motivated in their physiotherapy. You will see a wide range of MSK conditions, most being acute presentations. As they have often not consulted any other health practitioners it is an excellent opportunity to improve your assessment and diagnostic skills. A percentage of your time will be working in the 'Physio Direct' service. This service allows staff members to gain rapid access to physiotherapy through self-referral. The initial appointment is conducted by telephone, therefore there is flexibility to work remotely for some of your working hours. You will also be involved in health promotion across North Bristol NHS Trust, for example, running exercise groups or education sessions for staff.
Working pattern includes weekend working on the trauma and orthopaedic wards at NBT one weekend day every 4 weeks.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve weekend working on the trauma and orthopaedic wards as part of your contracted hours.
