Do you want to be that Nurse who is remembered for the grace, care and compassion to get their patients through one of the most difficult times in their lives?
The University Hospital of North Midlands Trust has a purpose built and dedicated Cancer Centre at our Royal Stoke site and an Outpatient Chemotherapy Treatment Unit at our County site. All inpatient and majority of outpatient oncology and haematology services are delivered from the purpose-built, Cancer Centre which opened in July 2009. The specialist Cancer Centre has an Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU) where all oncology and haematology emergencies are admitted directly and dealt with by an in-house dedicated medical and nursing team.
Main duties of the job
We provide cancer care to a local population of 70,000. We have the facilities to diagnose and treat all types of cancers. At UHNM, we deal with cancer every day, so we understand how valuable life is. When people entrust their lives to us, they have the right to demand the very best. That's why the pursuit of excellence lies at the heart of everything we do.
We are committed to entering our patients into Clinical Trials and have our own research team on site.

Based across two sites, Royal Stoke in Stoke-on-Trent and County Hospital in Stafford, we are proud to serve around three million people and we're highly regarded for our facilities, teaching and research. We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales.
All of our employees make a valuable contribution regardless of role here at UHNM and we are proud of our wide range of development packages aimed at ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their true potential.

At University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust we know that investing in, supporting and developing our staff has a direct impact on the quality of care that we deliver. Our employees are as important as our patients and the population that we serve.
